Arise News was a London based television channel covering African & European stories. Juliette was a presenter on the station’s flagship breakfast show This Day Live and would also occasionally anchor the channel’s business programmes. Juliette was one of the lead presenters who covered the funeral of the former South African president Nelson Mandela and the murder trial of the  Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius.

BBVA

The BBVA Foundation’s Frontiers of Knowledge Awards is an international award programme that recognises the significant contributions of academics and other distinguished persons in the fields of science and culture. The event is held every year in Madrid and Juliette has chaired the televised debates that precede the presentation of the awards.

Dahrendorf

The Dahrendorf Forum is a joint initiative by Germany’s Hertie School of Governance and the London School of Economics and Political Science, funded by Stiftung Mercator. Since its creation in 2010, the Dahrendorf project has grown into a major research and policy engagement network focused on debating Europe’s future. In 2016 Juliette was asked to moderate the Forum’s flagship Symposium which brought together some of Europe’s leading academics and thinkers.

In 2014, Juliette was invited to Rome to chair a debate titled Closing the Gender Gap in Agriculture, held in conjunction with International Women’s Day. The event featured organizations like the World Food Programme, FAO, IDLO, IFPRI, and the World Farmers’ Organisation. Notable attendees included former Irish President Mary Robinson and IFAD Vice President Michael Mordasini.

The 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference or COP 21 was held in Paris from 30 November/December 2015. It led to a global agreement on climate change reduction, the text of which represented a consensus of the representatives of the 196 parties who attended. Juliette moderated a panel discussion which included representatives from Kenya and New Zealand.

In 2015 Juliette moderated a high-profile panel for the third International Conference on Financing for Development in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The event was organised by the WHO (World Health Organisation), UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) and the Ethiopian Ministry of Health.

ITF

The International Transport Forum at the OECD is a politically autonomous intergovernmental organisation with fifty-nine-member countries. As well as acting as a think tank for transport policy, the ITF also organises the Annual Summit of transport ministers and is the only global body that covers all transport modes. Juliette has moderated discussion panels at the ITF’s yearly meetings in Leipzig.

Juliette devised a media training strategy for members of the National Black Police Officers Association (NBA). The NBA’s objective is to assist Britain’s police service in delivering a fair and equitable service to all sections of the community. This means improving the working environment of black staff by protecting the rights of those employed within the police service and enhancing racial harmony and the quality of service to the black community in the United Kingdom.

Archant is a privately- owned UK based media company with over 140 brands and associated websites. The company has a large portfolio of UK-based regional newspapers with titles in East Anglia, London, Kent and the South West. Juliette was the literary editor of Surrey Life magazine.

Dante is an international bi-monthly magazine that covers art, music, food, culture, travel, business and politics. Juliette is a regular contributor who writes book reviews.

Juliette returned to Helsinki at the invitation of CMI to chair a high-profile discussion involving members of The Elders. The Elders, which was founded by the former South African president Nelson Mandela, are public figures recognised as elder statesmen and human rights activists who use their maturity and considerable experience to find solutions to problems that appear insurmountable such as conflict and climate change. The discussion was timed to coincide with Finland’s centenary and the 80th birthday of Martti Ahtisaari.

CMI

The Crisis Management Initiative (CMI) is a Finnish organization focused on conflict prevention and resolution through dialogue and mediation. Founded in 2017 by Nobel Peace Laureate and former Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari, CMI invited Juliette in April 2017 to chair a discussion on Namibia’s independence with Ahtisaari and former Namibian President Hifikepunye Pohamba. She also moderated a second panel on national and regional conflict dynamics, featuring figures such as Astrid Thors (OSCE) and Ukraine’s Minister Vadym Chernysh.

The Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions are multilateral environmental agreements. Their objective is to protect human health and the environment from hazardous chemicals and waste. In 2017 Juliette was invited to Geneva to chair a high-level segment of the meetings of the conferences of the parties to the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions

OECD

The OECD promotes policies that enhance global economic and social well-being. In 2017, Juliette chaired an OECD conference in Prague focused on globalisation and the future of SMEs. She later hosted a series of panels in Seoul for the Champion Mayors Initiative, a coalition addressing climate change and inequality through key areas like education, housing, and public services. The sessions contributed to the Seoul Implementation Agenda, which outlined strategies for linking inclusive growth with climate action and local economic development.

Love Sport is a London based digital radio station that launched in March 2018. It was set up by former Sun Editor and talkSPORT CEO Kelvin Mackenzie. The station format combines sports news with current affairs and entertainment and Juliette is an occasional newspaper reviewer.

Monocle 24 is a speech-based internet radio station that broadcasts from Midori House, its central London headquarters. Juliette is a newspaper reviewer and an occasional presenter of the current affairs show Midori House.

DMA Media is an award-winning UK based media company which is also the largest independent news services company in Europe. It specialises in creating news and factual video content, broadcast channels, online newsrooms and digital platforms for a range of global brand and audiences. DMA’s clients include PwC, the multi-national professional services company. In 2019 DMA produced the coverage of PwC’s annual Global CEO survey at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The survey launch was live streamed, and Juliette interviewed PwC’s Global Chairman Bob Moritz whilst handling questions from the audience in the room and those on social media. DMA also used Juliette as a reporter for a series of PwC features that addressed some of the key issues to emerge from the Forum including AI and gender equality. It was a challenging assignment, but Juliette was extremely professional, hardworking and reliable.

In 2018 EY invited Juliette to present The Better Question, a podcast series exploring major boardroom issues including disruption, growth, industry transformation, purpose and gender equality.

SIBOS (Swift International Banking Operations Seminar) is the leading annual event for the global financial industry, attracting around 8,000 professionals to explore topics like payments, securities, and trade. At SIBOS 2018 in Sydney, Juliette co-anchored SIBOS TV and interviewed ANZ Bank CEO Shayne Elliott during the opening plenary.

In May 2019 the international company Nespresso, which produces home coffee machines, coffee capsules and coffee accessories, invited Juliette to moderate a panel exploring its work invigorating rural economies in a long term and sustainable way. The event coincided with the launch of an exhibition by the renowned international photographer Rena Effendi, which catalogued Nespresso’s involvement with coffee farmers in Zimbabwe and Colombia, and the launch of two new Reviving Origins coffees.

Defeat-NCD-Logo

The Defeat NCD Partnership, launched in 2018, is a UN-anchored initiative uniting public, private, and civil society sectors to combat non-communicable diseases like diabetes and hypertension, which claim 40 million lives annually—mostly in low- and middle-income countries. At the 2019 World Health Summit in Berlin, Juliette chaired the panel “Access to Sustainable NCD Treatment and Care.

Investment for africa Forum

The Investment for Africa Forum brings together businesses, venture capitalists and regional and government ministers from across the African continent. Organised by Egypt’s Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation (MIIC), the event was held in Egypt’s New Capital and Juliette was invited to chair two major panels: Enhancing Digital Transformation for Economic Integration and Diversification and From Start Ups to Scale Ups.

In 2020, the firm organized the prestigious Hegra Conference of Nobel Laureates in Saudi Arabia. The Silk Road Forum is a biennial event that in 2019 was held in the Georgian capital Tbilisi. The Forum is a major international platform for high level dialogue among businesses, community leaders and senior policy makers where delegates discuss the impact of such key issues as trade and connectivity on countries along the new Silk Road. In 2019 Juliette chaired the panel Transport Connectivity – Transformation Along the Silk Road & Beyond.

CGTN, China Global Television Network, is a global English language news channel aimed at the overseas market that’s received by more than 85 million viewers in over one hundred countries and regions. As an occasional contributor, Juliette discusses the leading news stories of the week on the channel’s London based weekend service.

TRTWORLD

TRT World is the Turkish state-owned international news channel that broadcast’s 24-hours a day in English. Based in Istanbul, the channel broadcasts world news and current affairs stories that offer a Turkish perspective on global affairs. Juliette is an occasional contributor to the evening programme Newshour.

King Salman humanitarian aid and relief center

King Salman Relief, a leading global humanitarian organization founded in 2015, partners with agencies like USAID, DFID, and UNICEF. In 2020, Juliette moderated a high-level panel at the 2nd International Humanitarian Forum in Riyadh, attended by global figures from the WHO, UN OCHA, and WFP.

The recovery summit

The online Recovery Summit, organised by the international speakers bureau Speakers Associates, brought together over 70 of the world’s leading authorities who shared their thinking on the global economy, leadership, managing change, innovation, disruption and resilience in the midst of the Covid-19 epidemic. Juliette was asked to moderate the event and interview keynote speakers including Olympian and former middle-distance runner Lord Sebastian Coe, author and leadership strategist Dan Pontefract and former hostage Ingrid Betancourt.

Juliette chaired the first edition in the series Diplomacy in Dialogue, produced by DMA Media Productions Ltd in partnership with the German Foreign Office. The panellists were Sebastian Groth, Director of Policy Planning at the German Federal Foreign Office, Maria Demertzis Deputy Director at the Breugel think tank and Doctor Alex Clarkson, lecturer in German, European, and International Studies at Kings College London. The discussion theme was Diplomacy in the Post Pandemic Era.
